Anaconda Poker
Anaconda Poker is a variation of 7 Card Stud Poker. Anaconda Poker is a social game that is rarely, if ever, played in casinos.
Basic Rules
Unlike standard 7 Card Stud, all seven cards are dealt facedown in Anaconda. After the cards are dealt, a round of betting begins starting with the player to the dealer’s left.
Now things get interesting. Each player gives three of his cards facedown to the player to his left and, in turn, receives three cards from the player to the right. This is followed by another round of betting.
Each player then passes two facedown cards to the player to his left. This is again followed by a round of betting.
Can you guess what happens now? Next, each player passes one card to his neighbor to the left, followed by more betting. This is the end all the card passing around.
Now, each player selects his best five-card poker hand and places this in a stack, facedown on the table. When the dealer says so, the players roll the top card. Once everyone’s top card is exposed, there’s another betting round starting with the player with the highest card. Each card is revealed in this fashion until all cards are exposed. Anaconda Poker can be played for either best high or low hand.
